The Sabir SistersAbout a dozen years ago an emerging family of fiddlers performed a benefit concert in Abbotsford for Amnesty International. It was a big hit that made an impression on artists and audience alike. Fast forward to 2013, and The Sabir Sisters have announced that partial proceeds from the upcoming “Folk and Reels” concert will once again benefit the global human rights work of Amnesty International. The concert, set for Tuesday, July 23 at the Clarke Foundation Theatre in Mission, will feature The Sabir Sisters and a long list of Canadian and international award-winning musicians and groups, all in town for the Sabir Sisters-Mission Folk Festival Camp 2013.
